ALP MEMBERS SUPPORT CAMPBELL

With overwhelming support, ALP members voted 130-85 for Christine
Campbell to be the Labor Candidate for Pascoe Vale at the 2010 state election.

“The strong endorsement from local ALP members who work for the party is
most welcome and appreciated,” said Ms Campbell.

“This vote clearly shows my support is overwhelming from the vast majority
of party members who work in state election campaigns. It was interesting to
observe during the ballot that those who knew their branch supported me. In
contrast, others were mystified when asked their branch name.”

“My opponent’s state election record remains that he was the candidate for the
Werribee seat at the March 30 1996 election until 17 days beforehand when
the party chose a replacement candidate.” said Ms Campbell;

“Many party members would still have a business card relating to a migration
agent business. I remind you that any member of the public can receive FREE
advice on migration matters from any Federal MPs office. Our local offices’
contact numbers are Senator Feeney ph 9384 6077 or Kelvin Thomson’s office
ph 9350 5777. I also remind you that state MPs and councillors are to provide
their services at NO COST to the community.” said Ms Campbell.

“I have placed advertisements in the Moreland Leader, Il Globo and El Telegraph
advising the public that elected representatives are morally and legally obliged
to provide advice at NO CHARGE.” said Ms Campbell.
