NEW TRAIN SERVICE EXTENSION
A new train timetable from Monday 20 July will deliver new service extensions for people travelling to and from Craigieburn and Pascoe Vale and Glenroy stations.
Christine Campbell MP, Member for Pascoe Vale, said that the new services were in recognition of the growing population of this area.
“On weekday mornings, a new peak extension to the 7.13am service from Broadmeadows Station will mean it originates at Craigieburn Station,” said Ms Campbell.
“As of Monday 20 July, this service will leave at 7.06am from Craigieburn Station, and arrive at Flinders Street Station at 7.50am. This service arrives right in the morning peak, and I know the extension will be greatly appreciated by people travelling from Craigieburn and Roxburgh Park stations to the City.”
Ms Campbell said that travelling home in the evening would also be improved by the addition of a new service extension.
“On weekday evenings, a new extension to the 6.38pm service from Flinders Street to Broadmeadows will travel on to terminate at Craigieburn at 7.23pm, which is great news for those travelling home from the city.
